Information You Choose to Submit
Search Entries
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Miami County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its handling of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

- date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site and support site features. Browser controls can refuse or remove cookies. Blocking them may cause some functions to behave differently.
How Information Supports the Site

Privacy Beyond This Website
Links may lead to Miami County Sheriff records, Kansas corrections systems, court portals, federal locators, or commercial search services. Once you leave, the receiving website’s own privacy notice controls. Kansas government records may be available under the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 et seq., but that law does not replace the privacy practices of each linked service.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to follow activity across different sites and tailor ads. That processing takes place on the partners’ systems, not on this one.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Depending on how the site is used, information may be handled by:
- search partners that process submitted queries;
- analytics providers that measure site activity;
- advertising networks that deliver or assess ads; and
- law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard safeguards are used to protect information within our control. No website, network, or online storage method is fully secure. We cannot promise that a breach, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
Choices About Your Data
Subject to applicable law and verification, you may:
- ask for a copy of personal data we hold;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- ask that qualifying information be erased; or
- object to or opt out of certain processing.
Send a request through Contact Us. These rights apply to data held by this site, not records maintained by Miami County, KDOC, a court, or another third party.
